I build software for independent businesses, and keep.fans came out of a straightforward observation: every tool sold into the creator industry is priced per creator and sold to agencies, which tells you exactly who it was built for. I write these guides because the information most creators find is published by the people taking a cut of their income.
What I am and am not
I am not an accountant or a lawyer, and nothing here is advice from one. What I can offer is the arithmetic done carefully, the primary sources cited so you can check them, and an honest account of where the rules are genuinely uncertain. For anything you are about to sign or file, use a professional — that is what they are for.
